How much time sleep a baby?
10/17/2016 09:31:00 PMWhen Mateus was born, I thought he would sleep all day. I was so mistaken. With so many doubts, I decided to search the babies sleep routines, trying to figure out how long babies sleep according to the age.
Sleep Routine
In the first 3 months, babies sleep an average of 3 hours straight (even at night). On average they sleep about 16 hours a day.
At 4 months, babies sleep for 12 hours straight at night. The first time Mateus slept 12 hours straight, we got a fright because we had no idea if he was all right. There was the Mommy Owl always looking at him and seeing if he was breathing.
The 12-hour routine slows down over the years until they start to sleep on average 8 to 10 hours a night.
At present, Mateus sleeps 12 hours a night, and during the day he sleeps a nap of 3 to 4 hours. I remember that babies are not all the same and therefore, it is normal that your baby's sleep routine may not be the same.
